PAM8610 Digital Stereo Class-D Amplifier Module 2x15W Output
Description
- Amplification: The primary function of the PAM8610 module is to amplify audio signals. It can take low-level audio signals from various sources, such as audio players, smartphones, or microcontrollers, and amplify them to drive speakers.
- Class-D Amplifier: The PAM8610 utilizes a Class-D amplifier configuration, which is known for its high efficiency, low heat generation, and compact size. Class-D amplifiers are ideal for portable and compact audio devices.
- Power Output: The module can deliver a powerful audio output, typically providing 15 watts of power per channel (15W x 2) when operating at its maximum capability.
- Stereo Output: It offers stereo audio output, meaning it can amplify and drive two separate audio channels independently, usually for left and right speakers.
- Operating Voltage: The module generally operates at a voltage of 12V DC, which is commonly provided by an external power supply or battery source.
- Potentiometer (Pot): Some versions of the board feature an onboard potentiometer (variable resistor) that allows you to adjust the audio volume. Rotating the potentiometer clockwise or counterclockwise changes the amplification level.
- Input Connections: The module typically has input terminals for connecting audio sources. These terminals may be labeled as “INL” and “INR” for left and right audio channels, respectively.
- Speaker Connections: There are output terminals for connecting speakers. These terminals are often labeled as “OUTL” and “OUTR” for left and right channels.
- Filter Capacitors: The module may include filter capacitors to reduce noise and improve audio quality.
- Over-Current and Over-Temperature Protection: Some versions of the module include protection circuitry to prevent damage from over-current and excessive temperatures.
- Compact Size: The PAM8610 amplifier module is compact and lightweight, making it suitable for integration into small audio projects and portable devices.
